Cleaning house - clearing out the old and making room for the new. Above I have listed several previously completed paintings at discounted prices, pieces that I love dearly but need to move out of the studio to make room for new work. On that note...

It's been a good long while since I've posted to this blog. I had intended to phase it out some time back as social media has evolved to the point that traditional, standalone blogs are more or less things of the past. A new blog of sorts, more efficient and tied directly to a new website and storefront has been in the planning stages for well over a year and will go live by year's end. The delay in making that happen before now has everything to do with an unexpected health issue that cropped up in the Spring of 2017. It appears I am mildly allergic to oil paints. Go figure.

I quit working in oils except for very minor applications of the medium (while wearing a mask, no less) on paintings that are otherwise completely acrylic. Yep, I am now an acrylic painter. Never would have seen that one coming. I've spent the bulk of 2018 teaching myself how to paint in acrylic in a way that closely resembled what I was able to achieve in oil. Since August of this year, I have been a working artist again, completing several small commissions. I am also in the progress of creating a new body of work for my two main galleries and for direct sale. Those will be made available over the next 2-3 months.

Examples of what I have been up to, lately:

Below are three acrylic paintings completed in September as a corporate commission for a new bespoke cocktail bar in Boston, the Better Sorts Social Club. It was a wonderfully fun project, particularly the design and completion of the tromp l'oeil painting below, titled 'Beantown'. I am grateful for being given the opportunity to have tested the waters of my new medium with these lively and fun subjects.

Additionally, In July I began working with a new gallery on Martha's Vineyard. Eisenhauer Gallery is located in Edgartown, MA and currently has three new paintings I've created for them, seen below. If you are interested in any of these three pieces, please contact the gallery directly by clicking here.

I had created and kept a fourth painting from this series - seen below - titled In Bloom III. It is 12"x12" on 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas, no framing required. I am making it available here on the blog for sale to my subscribers. If you are interested, please email me directly for pricing and shipping information.
