I am very pleased (and completely ecstatic) to announce that 'Now Being Served' has been awarded the 1st Place prize in Oil Painting in the Richeson75 Small Works 2011 Exhibition. Thank you especially to the lovely people at the Richeson School of Art and Jack Richeson & Co., and to their guest juror Jan Smith, Director of the Bergstrom Mahler Museum.

Jan Smith's remarks regarding 'Now Being Served' as her choice for 1st Place were especially flattering-

"This work was not only well executed, with a striking central composition, it effectively drew your eye closer to examine technique and subject, creating surprise elements of discovery upon closer inspection that added a sly humor to the work as well."

Richeson 75: Still Life and Abstract
