Eggshell Study - 'Odd Man Out'

'Odd Man Out' - 6"x6" - oil on 1.5" gallery wrapped canvas (no framing required)
SOLD

The title comes from the fact that only one egg is left unbroken in the carton. I took the photo for this the other morning while making breakfast. Am I the only one who marvels at the uniqueness of each shell, some speckled, some pale, others wobbly and oddly shaped as if the poor hen really broke a sweat in getting that one out? Anybody? Just me? Okay then. Moving right along.

Yup, that's me too. I really spend too much time admiring the eggs while the pan gets too hot. White eggs are way too boring. This is a great piece; you really have eggshells down!

I know, right??? They're spectacular. I look in the cartons before purchasing less for the purpose of making sure I don't have any broken ones in the batch, but more because I want the prettiest one's I can find. I mean I don't go so far as to check all the cartons or switch eggs from one carton to another, but if I find a carton with a wide variety of speckles and shades of brown, I do get just a little excited. This should probably embarrass me, but it doesn't. LOL

Also, thank you!
