"Late Night" - 12" x 4" - oil on canvas

My favorite mug makes another appearance. The part of this painting I like best? The coffee ring stain on the napkin. It's always the little details that get to me.

This one's heading to New York today to be juried (Jurored? Jured? Honestly, I SHOULD know this by now.) for a show. Once I know its fate, I'll update and add a sales page link. Assuming anyone wants to buy a painting of a coffee stained napkin.

Every time I paint orchids, I have the same conversation with myself; it always begins with "Why?!?!?!". One orchid makes you question your patience, but three orchids make you question your sanity. Bright side is I made it out alive, in one piece, still forming coherent sentences. At least that's what my invisible friend Mr. Sparkles tells me. But, he's a rabbit, so what would he know?
