The desire to make a study of copper wares has been present for the past month. I decided to pull out some shakers last week I'd not painted in about 5 years. Forgot about all the color that shows through on copper. Phew! Glad that's done.

This is an espresso cup and saucer I was given by a client a few years back. I don't drink espresso, but I do love the bright golden yellow color of the set. It soaks up other colors so well and has a genuinely rich and creamy quality to it that I find intriguing.
