Sugar Study I - Revisited

Sugar Study I - 6" x 6" - oil on cradled hardboard panel - SOLD

When I first painted this one, it had a yellow background. I was never quite settled on that yellow, but I kept it to challenge myself to experiment with new colors I don't normally use. Well, some months have passed, and I never took a liking to the yellow. This morning I decided it was time to address the matter, so I painted over it with a deep french blue. And now I'm happy.

Love the silvery cool palette, the hint of warm, on this one.

"Now Being Served", where do I begin? It's perfect in design, color, surface... gorgeous!
