Salt & Pepper Study

"Salt & Pepper Study" - 6" x 6" - oil on cradled hardboard panel
*
I have a set of salt and pepper shakers which I inherited from my grandparents. I'd say they date back to somewhere around 1950. I really can't be sure. I only know that they are magnificent in their retro look and feel. I don't actually use them at home, but I do have them placed prominently in my studio for inspiration.

Wow, Jelaine - another beauty. I just love how you handled the pepper (and salt!). Gorgeous work. What a beautifully designed set.

Cool! I haven't seen this kind of Salt/Pepper holding before! You have (as usual) shown it so perfectly!

Outstanding painting. Do they stay in the holder if picked up by the handle and carried?
