Teacup Study: My Mother's Collection I

"My Mother's Collection I" - 6" x 6" - oil on hardboard panel - SOLD
*
After having painted a 4 piece series of teacups in late 2008 as a private commission, my mother shipped me about a dozen of her favorite collectibles for reproduction. Very thoughtful of her! And now, more than a year later, I am finally getting to them, one by one, although there are a couple I may have to forego. The details are much too mind-numbing, even for me. Sorry, Mom!

Another lovely teacup -yea mom! The last commission series of teacups you painted are still my favourite paintings of yours and are quite unforgettable. Thank you for sharing more teacups -you do these delicate objects and especially their shiny bits of metal so very well.

Cheers! ~Julie

I love your teacup paintings. Everytime I see one I want to go out and buy a teacup just to feel the hard smooth texture that you have captured so well

Your tea cups are my favorite too. I am glad I'll get to see more of the beautiful tea cups. My thanks to your mom!
I see that you are painting on hardboard panel. Are these panels readily available at Art supply stores?
Thanks.

Always love teacups...and tea! So nice to see your mother's collection here. I too, have been collecting teacups for years...sooo difficult to resist as they're actually magnificent works of art themselves! Jeanne

Aruna, to answer your question, Dick Blick has a lovely supply of many types of canvases and panels. I like to order from them often.
