This has been a constant food craving over the Summer months - clean, cool food with lots of wasabi, and iced green tea on the side. Today is the 2nd day of cool weather - although we are expected to get back into the 80's over the next week, which I can deal with - and I'm tempted to say we are officially in Fall mode, but I don't want to jinx it. Despite my months-long adoration of all things raw fish, all I can think about eating right now is pot roast and potato soup. With bacon. And chives. Go figure. It doesn't take the body long to catch up with the climate, does it?

Speaking of which, is it just me, or does anyone else want to nod off at around 8pm, snuggled under a blanket on the couch with a cup of tea, or a glass of wine, watching movies? Large, hot meals and early bedtimes. I suppose if it jumps back up to 104F before all is said and done, I'll be longing for cool showers and gazpacho. Who am I kidding?!?! I'll be longing for a brick wall to bash my brains against.

I'm always looking at your blog, and your paintings blow my mind!!!! I always paint in Acrylics...how hard of a transition would it be for me to change to Oils??? I just love the clean lines and realism you get. I've never painted in oils, just wondering if maybe I should try that??!!! Thought you would be the one to ask....
