Chrome Teapot Study

Chrome Teapot Study - 6" x 6" - oil on canvas

I'm working on another larger teapot painting and needed to brush up my skills with chrome objects. Chrome picks up a lot of color and light that copper will overpower and alter. So painting chrome is always a different experience, more complicated I think. In this painting alone, a simple study, aside from the gray tones of the pot itself, I have sienna, blue, turquoise, lavender, green, orange and yellow. Quite the rainbow.

Hi Jelaine,
Beautiful work as usual - who would think all those colors were contained in this painting?
By the way, your link for purchasing isn't working.
