Chrome Teapot Study #2

Chrome Teapot Study #2 - 8" x 6" - oil on canvas

Another large scale gallery painting underway and another study of the chrome teapot. I needed to see how this would look in neutral tones. It's my habit to always go for stronger contrast, but there was something calming about the color of my walls behind the teapot when I was taking photos the other week. Behr brand "Jasmine White" in case anyone was interested.

I think I'm in the mood for neutrals right now as my little desert home is making the transition from Summer to Fall. Of course that transition is marked by hissy fits and pouting, because just this weekend it was 104F again. Meanwhile, the rest of the Northern Hemisphere is pulling out its long sleeves and getting frost advisories. What? Me, bitter? No. Not at all. But last night it got down to 72F and the wind didn't feel like a hairdryer. For Las Vegas, that's progress.

Your rendering is unbelievable! On top of that I love teapots, even have a collection. You work should be in textbooks for artists.
