This evening I was going to post the 3rd of 4 commissioned tea cups for your viewing pleasure. I had set it out in the back yard to dry in the warm sun this morning, planning to add a few tiny details this afternoon before photographing and revealing it. But the landscapers came by today and decided to check on the back yard. Kindly, they cleared excess weeds from the rocky areas. Not so kindly, they knocked over my painting and, it appears, trampled it. Face down. On the rocks. Gouged. Scraped. Ruined.

This is me having a mild heart attack.

Don't even!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My heart goes out to you; I can't imagine the sense of loss.
Oh Jelaine! I cannot imagine how upset you must feel! This is a day you will never forget, unfortunately. You couldn't even MAKE UP something that bizarre - I mean, of all people to destroy your painting... landscapers!!! i hope your second painting of the tea cup will be even better than the first.
Oh,dear! I'm so sorry to hear that!
Oh, I am so very sorry! You must be so frustrated. I just wanted you to know that your paintings have inspired me to get off my hesitation and jump in with both feet. I start my 3rd daily painting today. My resolve is due mostly to reading your blog and viewing your paintings. And knowing how cool you are about what happened to your painting is what keeps me from giving up because it's Monday and the sun is shining. thank you and good luck. Again I am so sorry for your loss. Best, Suzanne Berry
Are you serious? Oh my god I am having a heart attack at even imagining that happening! Did they atleast set it back up, as if it happened accidentally? Or was it just left on the ground like that?

It wasn't pretty. Face down in the rocks. Thanks for the sympathies, all.
In the meantime, I've put all my daily paintings on the backburner for later this week while I redo the last cup piece. I had intended to have these shipped off to the buyer already, so I don't want to take any more time than necessary to complete the work.
Holy Frijoles! This is me feelin' your pain sistah!
